Wealth Management Fund Dealing Specialist

Role Responsibility

To provide a high quality transaction monitoring and fund dealing service, in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor trading platforms to ensure these are working effectively
  • Accurate and timely trade execution across multiple products including Unit Trusts, OEIC, SICAV and Hedge Funds
  • Accurate and timely trade execution across multiple systems and platforms including Calastone, Allfunds Platform, Cofunds Platform and directly with Transfer Administrators
  • Accurate and timely execution of trade cancellations, rejections and Spot FX transactions
  • Able to process trades of large value accurately with due care and attention
  • Can interpret and communicate complex data
  • Is able to understand issues, weigh up pros and cons of solutions and act with minimal guidance from others
  • Works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, constantly striving to exceed minimum standards in line with KPI and SLA measures
  • Works at pace whilst balancing multiple conflicting deadlines and priorities
  • Adheres to best market and regulatory practices
  • Works collaboratively with internal team and across the wider SS&C business.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external parties.
  • Attend and actively contribute to team meetings
  • Must actively seek and respond positively to feedback. Use service failures both internally and externally as an educator to improve our process, procedures and overall service
  • Respond positively to the goals of the team, support colleagues, and actively contribute to the success of the overall SS&C Wealth Management division
  • Takes a broad view of own role and its impact on the team and company
  • Retains strong focus on professional standards and results, which directly contribute and impact on business targets
  • Identifies process improvements to improve quality or increase efficiency
  • Can take on additional tasks and projects within the department to improve team/department performance
  • Can support newer team members by training, coaching and acting as a referral point when needed

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years Financial Services experience (Preferably in a trading, technical or quality focused environment)
  • Ability to use complex IT systems
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages
  • Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate with internal & external parties and build positive working relationships
  • Is empowered to show initiative and use own knowledge to resolve more complex enquiries and issues, with minimal assistance from others
  • Ability to work in a calm manner whilst under pressure

Desirable:

  • Trading experience
  • Knowledge of Unit Trusts, OEICs, SICAV and Hedge Funds
  • Experience with Fund Platforms and Industry Messaging Standards
  • IOC qualified or working towards qualification
