Role Responsibility

We are seeking an experienced UI development technical lead skilled in developing and delivering modern designed user interfaces built on modern technology stacks.

The main purpose of the role is to be a technical lead for one of SS&C’s Product & Innovation scrum teams. Leading and guiding another development resource to meet the UI features of the product backlog. Working closely with other scrum team developers, removing blockers and providing guidance as well as being the technical go-to person for the PO and scrum master. 

You will be responsible for:

• Managing a team of UI developers to build out new Digital products within SS&C’s Product & Innovation function.
• Plan and execute UI technology strategy and processes and make sure they are adhered to by the extended team.
• Taking a lead role and transforming existing products to a Micro Front End architecture.
• Conduct UI code reviews and make technical contributions to product architecture.
• Hands-on UI development for new innovation and critical development items.
• Ownership and proactively remove all blockers for the UI dev teams across the product scrum team.
• Foster technical decision-making for the UI dev team
• Track engineering metrics for the team and seek to continuously improve.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience leading a team of front-end developers, creating a great culture of excellence and delivering modern-designed UI journeys.
• Experience in recruiting and establishing a high performing front end development team
• 5 years plus experience in UI development.
• Excellent written and communication skills, experienced in engaging with internal technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in UX design concepts and developing forward-thinking UI journeys.
• Excellent experience with JavaScript, Angular (10+), Angular Material, CSS/SCSS, SASS, GraphQL
• Single-Spa Framework
• Hands-on experience with HTML and templating languages
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Experience in cross-browser compatibility testing
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• BSc in Computer Science or a similar field.
