Technical Implementation Consultant, Intelligent Automation

Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.

Role Responsibility

We are seeking an exceptional Technical Implementation Consultant to support our Intelligent Automation offering which includes Business Process Management, Document Automation and RPA! Our Intelligent Automation offering is already used by highly regulated businesses across financial services, insurance, and healthcare industries worldwide.

 

In this role, you’ll participate in the delivery of our solutions for customers (upgrades / new implementations / adding new capabilities, effort estimation, establishing dependencies, and documenting technical aspects of such solutions). You’ll also provide advice, guidance and leadership in any area associated with the planning, delivery, management, implementation, maintenance or effective use of our product and related software.

 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyse technical requirements of customers; identify solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches, typically seeking to exploit technology components.
  • Enable Intelligent Automation products to be utilized to build solutions for clients, via accurate implementation and configuration of the product components etc. Takes responsibility for unit and functional testing of such solutions.
  • Work with solutions to identify key product functionality, and usability requirements based on our real-world project experience.
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of product capability and new features, industry best practices in process design, methodologies and what our competitors are doing.
  • Provide support to clients and the Global Customer Care Centre to identify and resolve issues with applications, following agreed procedures.
  • Help in testing the product and solutions developed for clients. Specifies and develops test scenarios to test that new/updated processes deliver improved ways of working for the end user at the same time as delivering efficiencies and planned business benefits.
  • Provide well-informed advice, taking steps to ensure that it is properly understood and appropriately exploited, to enhance the benefits clients realise from implementing SS&C’s solutions.
  • Apply data analysis and data modelling techniques to establish, modify or maintain a data structure and its associated components.
  • Promote and ensures the use of appropriate techniques, methodologies, tools, and best practices. This includes researching technology trends to assist clients to find the best solutions for their needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of specific technical specialisms, provide detailed advice regarding their application, and execute specialised tasks. Specialism can be any area of information or communication technology, technique, method, product, or application area.
  • Working with client projects and providing consultancy, guidance and support throughout the project duration including structured reviews, reviews of technical diagrams, test plans, business cases and any other key deliverables.

Your Experience

  • Educated to degree level with similar experience as a technical consultant. 
  • Evidence of Stakeholder/Customer experience, specifically around managing the client relationship, planning the assignment, requirements gathering, structured reviews, business case and other deliverables.
  • Excellent presentation skills using a variety of methods and techniques to deliver effectively.
  • Experience working on business proposals including invitations to tender and statements of requirements both orally and in writing.

Essential:

  • Working knowledge of hosting, AWS services knowledge and experience.
  • Oracle database skills - database backup and recovery; data security; Oracle database skills; database schema performance analysis.

Nice to have:

  •  Experience in JBOSS application deployment, diagnostics, log analysis, tuning tools and jboss cli calls.
  • Windows O/SJava, SQL, JavaScript, Html, Jira, Git, SoapUI, SQL query analyzer, Browser tools - Fiddler, Wireshark
  • AWS Practitioner qualification and higher
  • Familiar with testing techniques to plan and execute software tests of all application components (functional and non-functional) to verify that the software satisfies specified requirements and to detect errors.
