Specialist - CASS
Role Responsibility
Responsible for oversight of the firms CASS function on a day-to-day basis. Provision of effective oversight / guidance of the firms CASS processes, ensuring the function is organised and controlled effectively, and complies with regulatory standards. Active member of CASS committee, able to develop and react to operational plans. Close working with the Operations and Operational Finance teams, assisting with account queries and providing guidance on technical issues
The Ideal Candidate
Responsible for:
- Production and/ or review of the daily internal client money reconciliation, ensuring that the calculation is complete, accurate and timely.
- Submitting the firm’s monthly CMAR return on a timely basis
- Maintain the third line of compliance defence by identifying, mitigating and managing operational risks in line with policies set out by the firm, including appropriate escalation and risk event reporting.
- To manage the CASS audit and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all regulatory and compliance requirements are demonstrated and attained.
- Daily review of allocated Operational accounts
Essential Functions
Production and/or review of the daily internal client money calculation. Escalation of relevant business issues identified. Monitoring of balance sheet accounts allocated to the post holder, with escalation as appropriate. Ensure the operational effectiveness of all systems and controls in Hubwise Securities that are designed to achieve compliance with CASS
