Document Composition Analyst

Basildon, Essex

Job Description: 

  • Become a part of a new project team as a technical lead implementing and upgrading to the next generation of document composition application based on Agile methodology
  • Gain exposure to a wide breadth of the business functions supported by customer communication
  • Deliver both business analysis and development for client builds
  • Accountable for delivering solutions which support the business requirements ensuring adherence to design standards.
  • Identify Learning and Development needs for team growth.
  • The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle.  Starting from the project initiation point, meetings with internal and external stakeholders to devise solutions suitable to the business drivers through to building, testing and delivering the projects by performing the following duties:-
  • Analysis, development, testing activities and managing assigned projects and releases and assist team members
  • Direct Engagement  with stakeholders to gather and specify requirements
  • Translating the requirements into technical solutions and articulate appropriately to the audiences whether Business or Technical focussed
  • Creating design documents which specify the data and content requirements
  • Using our next generation composition tool following design standards
  • Providing technical consultancy, resolving work issues and recommending improvements or alternative courses of action to the team
  • Following through process standard to ensuring quality of build outputs
  • Must be able to work with least supervision
  • Assist Senior Managers and Build Lead to plan resources

Qualification for Lead Document composition analyst:

  • Degree in computer science or related
  • More than 5 years’ experience of:
    • System analysis, requirements gathering and development tasks
    • Document Composition Tools
    • Java Scripts or VB Scripts
    • XML, Fixed and Variable length data files
    • Exposure in working agile methodology
  • Sound understanding of correspondence triggers and data feed
  • Proven track record in complex projects fully utilising object oriented design and construction techniques including full integration with relational databases.
  • Possess Leadership and Coaching skills
  • Good team worker, flexible and able to adopt and plan critical business needs
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written
  • Able to work on own initiative with least supervision
  • Able to work to tight deadlines

Desired skills (not essential):

  • Experience of working on client-facing correspondence.
  • Knowledge of one of the following document composition toolsets such as Opentext Exstream, Opus, GMC Print Net T, Tango+, Adobe Experience manager.
