Distributor Client Services Projects Technical Specialist

Role Responsibility

Summary:

Working within the Distributor Client Services department, the role requires the individual to own and deliver change within the department. The role entails effective delivery of a range of projects, including larger SS&C projects where there is potential for direct impact to our clients, distributors and our service offerings.

  • Own and oversee all change activities that impact the department, including but not limited to; regulatory change, corporate actions, acquisitions and client offloads
  • Lead all assigned projects and complete the corresponding tasks, including but not limited to;  drafting and owning all communications, overseeing data analysis, arranging configuration for our STP and digital services and understanding the resulting business processes
  • Own and maintain relationships with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Internal Departments for effective delivery of projects that may impact processes completed within Distributor Client Services 
  • Own delivery of Projects where Distributor Client Services are the sponsor and discuss client requirements/ expectations, timelines and constraints
  • Provide departmental specific business consultancy on requirements of all assigned projects
  • Ensure effective communication with Distributors, Management Companies and vendors as appropriate
  • Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external parties regarding progress of project deliverables
  • Be a contact point for any business releases to ensure the impact allows Distributor Client Services to function effectively 
  • Provide consistent support where vendor contracts are required
  • Interrogate business and technical changes to consider impacts on the Distributor Client Services department, its clients and distributor population
  • Communicate effectively to the Distributor Client Services teams to validate understanding of the impact of any change
  • Oversee all runbooks to ensure procedures and training has been considered and in place where appropriate
  • Attend & chair workshops/meetings on behalf of Distributor Client Services with both internal and external parties
  • Liaise with SS&C testing to ensure appropriate testing is completed, accurate output is received, reviewed and any faults are corrected, retested and new output provided through to sign off
  • Provide post project implementation support to Distributor Client Services and vendors
  • Create and maintain project specific documents used, inclusive of runbooks and project plans that can be distributed both internally and externally where applicable
  • Oversee and track any CASS Audits that require information or data from the Distributor Client Services teams
  • Assess and review any continual improvement initiatives raised by the Distributor Client Services teams
  • Maintain and upkeep internal Project Logs for a transparent outlook on the delivery of all allocated projects
  • Deliver overviews of the Distributor Client Services offering to potential clients
  • Focus on STP dealing and settlement delivery for new clients where applicable and investigate and resolve any post live trading issues 
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of procedures, controls and MI, which includes contributing to the annual review of procedures applicable to the Project team
  • Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with procedures & controls, and that any changes to activities implications are considered

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience of working in a Financial Services environment
  • Good Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels in the business
  • Ability to identify areas of risk or concern, either within team or in the business
  • Responds positively to all internal/external customers
  • Flexible and adaptable to change and challenges
  • Able to professionally handle conflict to achieve business results
  • Able to analyse complex data and clearly present opportunities/actions

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering change 
  • Knowledge of JIRA
  • Experience in using internal SS&C systems
