Senior Technical Associate, Banking Network Management

Job Introduction

To offer DST and its Clients a dedicated Banking Network Management Team across its European offices to closely monitor and formally manage the diverse Agent Bank network and provide a formal communication channel into all bank related matters across all DST Business Units.  To actively monitor, track and improve Banking service levels, introduce and maintain SLA’s and manage risk associated with Agent Bank activities through consistent standards to ensure service quality. Provide Agent Bank oversight to optimise costs, promote competition, oversee liquidity requirements and work with Banks on new Business migrations in addition to future banking solutions and technology to improve our Business models. To perform regular reviews on existing Agent Bank relationships and proactively seek new relationships via the RFP process. Provide a formal European wide service issue log and provide more visibility via the production of MI concerning Agent Bank performance.

To also provide relationship services across Cash Management / payment providers to include Bottomline Technologies

Role Responsibility

Provide a dedicated conduit into the Banks across all levels of service and communication.

Manage and document all bank limits across all banks and clients for DELS, Overdraft and SUNS.

Provide escalation point and management of interest claims against DST and its Clients.

Manage an issue log across the DST Business areas for the Agent Bank network.

Provide one voice to the Agent Banks and live and breathe our vision of DST

Provide new clients with a dedicated point of contact as we progress their on-boarding requirements with their chosen Agent Bank/s

Provide formal escalation to our Agent Banks and record all communication and activity.

Oversight of banking system performance. Formally record and escalate lost time due to system downtimes across all DST Business Units.

Provide oversight and formal communication on industry projects such as cheque imaging.

Oversee the Agent Bank meetings as a result of the Swift implementation project with Bottom-line to ensure consistency.

Provide communication to RBS for Finance re any new facilities required for DST.

A proactive approach to innovate future banking solutions (Future cheque clearing model and extended Chaps cut off

 

Perform annual Due Diligence required as part of Framework with all Agent Banks and FCA annual review.

Set up tri-party meetings (DST, Bank and Client) when there is a major banking issue to follow up on root cause and future mitigation steps.

Document all contacts held within each Agent Bank and what role they cover and provide this internally and externally and produce out of hours contacts.

Manage the interaction with all Agent Banks on daily overdraft balances and feed-back how they will be covered.

Monthly production of key MIS from each Agent Bank.

Oversee with CFS and Technical Teams the delivery of complex projects involving Agent Banks.

Provide a consistent standard to ensure high levels of quality across all Agent Banks.

Provide alternative Agent Banks reviews. Proactively visit non-utilised banks and assess services.

Manage feedback and interface with internal parties (CRM’s).

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Good keyboard skills to include awareness of Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Experience in Financial Services Investment Industry
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good forward planning thinking required
  • Experience in double entry book keeping and Banking
  • Experience in Managing people
  • Knowledge of PEP, ISA, Unit Trust, OEIC or Investment Trust administration after attending DST Training.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory environment after attending DST Training.

  • Knowledge of PEP, ISA, Unit Trust, OEIC or Investment Trust administration.
