Senior Resourcing Specialist

Job Introduction

To manage the recruitment delivery life cycle of experienced hire resourcing for Corporate Services and Technology across Enterprise IT, Funds and WMI.

Role Responsibility

  • Relationship management of key clients within the specified business areas.
    • ensuring that escalated issues are dealt with and business plans are understood and interpreted into resourcing strategies
    • educating/keeping recruiting line managers aware of lead times and managing delivery expectations
  • Resourcing delivery
    • Attraction  of candidates through diverse range of channels to deliver a 90/10 direct vs. agency usage
    • Candidate experience is of the highest possible standard at all times
    • Selection methods are high quality, appropriate and timely
    • Employment screening is conducted on each new hire in collaboration with Screening team
    • New hire on-boarding is overseen, new hire and line manager are kept informed of timescales and what to expect
    • Recruitment tools such as the ATS, career site, broadbean and linked in are utilised in search and kept up to date with candidate information, in line with HR and GDPR regulations.
  • Resourcing support
  • Entry/Structured resource delivery
    • works in collaboration with Structured Careers team to deliver apprentice, intern and graduates appointments into business unit clients
    • Support Structured Careers in the attraction and engagement of candidates through attendance at careers fairs and assessment centres
  • Ownership and management of third party relationships
    • Recruitment Agencies
      • have commercially sensible terms of business in place with up to date agreement housed on Framework tool (Procurement)
      • have robust KPI/SLA’s in place and regularly review
    • Systems providers (participate)
      • ensure that ATS,  Job board, assessment and associated systems are suitable and relevant to enable delivery to business units and areas supported
  • Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
    • helps to develop across all business units and locations
    • promotes and develops employer brand, particularly building a local brand for Technology
    • represents IFDS at external workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Management Information
    • provision of MI to Business Units and Sub-Function leaders and HRBP’s (including discussing key challenges and external market overview)
    • maintain awareness of successful attraction methods through MI analysis
    • maintain awareness of IFDS HR MI and metrics to help support client groups
  • Commercial ownership
    • tracks and maintains awareness of costs associated with areas of accountability
    • actively seeks opportunities to reduce cost where appropriate
    • owns invoicing sign off for associated areas of responsibility
  • Innovation
    • actively seeks new and creative ways of providing service delivery and creative solutions
    • knowledge shares ideas, best practice and successes with wider team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous in-house recruitment / talent acquisition experience
  • Very strong IT / Technical recruitment background including the ability to demonstrate successful delivery of complex roles in a time pressured environment
  • Experience of successfully deploying strategies for sourcing candidates through direct methods, aiming for a 90% direct hire target
  • Familiar with job board and social media sourcing methods
  • Good knowledge of the local market
  • Practical experience/knowledge of Applicant Tracking System/s (ATS)


  • HR/Recruitment Professional from a global environment - either working in an internal function or a client facing "advisory" capacity. Ideally you will have worked in a financial services or professional services environment
  • Sourcing expert – proven experience of utilising twitter, facebook, Google +, AI tools
  • Social Talent black belt
