QA Analyst

Job Introduction

Opportunity for a QA analyst to join our Quality Assurance team, testing commercial software for distribution to the Financial Services Industry, namely superannuation and pension products.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and proactive and possesses excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Their record will demonstrate an ability to embrace change, and work quickly and accurately. They will understand the challenge and the importance of maintaining quality software delivery processes while supporting a varied release program.

Role Responsibility

  • Work within a development team providing test support and expertise.
  • Contribute in refinement, sizing and commitment to requirements in each sprint.
  • Static test analysis of documentation available to support product development
  • Develop test conditions and test cases to be executed manually or via tools
  • Analyse and update regression test scope to improve regression code coverage
  • Verify compliance is maintained
  • Contribute to continual improvement by initiating or participating in people, process or technology advances

The Ideal Candidate

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical software testing through the full test lifecycle(Ideally an Agile framework)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in writing automated tests using an automation framework - either ‘Off The Shelf ‘or bespoke  
  • Able to write relevant automation code using a suitable programming language and frameworks. Usage of Protractor/Cucumber-Selenium/Specflow is an advantage.
  • Experience testing web services, xml, GUI, reports and databases utilising a wide range of test tools.
  • Proven expertise in problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in working to tight deadlines and delivering to agreed timetables
  • Have a fundamental understanding of test techniques as well as exposure to non-functional test practices. ISTQB
