Financial Services Apprenticeship – Chelmsford
DST office is situated within a 5 minute walk from Chelmsford Bus & Train station.
Our Client Services team is responsible for servicing our leading investment clients, and their customers. Within these roles you will gain a great understanding of the different investment products we work with, such as ISA’s, Unit Trusts, Investment Trusts and OEIC’s as well as knowledge of the different areas of the business.
Customer Service (Telephone based role)
You will have the opportunity to answer incoming telephone queries form a wide variety of callers such as clients, IFA’s (Independent Financial Advisors), investors and other financial institutions.
You will aid with account servicing questions on the phone and raise appropriate work, to request investigations, give portfolio valuations, update customer account details or send out correspondences.
Correspondence (Letter writing)
This team offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of our clients and their customers and IFA’s mostly by letter, in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
You will provide an effective and efficient service to customers, mostly by letter but also other means.
Develop an understanding of all client profiles/products to be able to deliver outstanding customer service.
The Ideal Candidate
We’ll need you to bring experience of helping customers, answering queries and problem solving.
As well as taking responsibility for your own work, you should be a great team player to help make your team achieve their goals.
Because our training is so comprehensive, you don’t need a background in finance or banking but you will need a record of delivering great service and contributing to the overall performance of a team.
You will require;
- GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above
- The ability to work to daily/weekly deadlines and follow strict processes, strong accuracy and attention to detail with a keen emphasis on the quality of your work.
- Excellent communication skills
- Above all the desire to learn and an eagerness to begin a career in the financial services sector.
