Customer Service Associate - Life & Pensions - German Speaking ONLY

Job Introduction

1. This position is only suited to applicants who have fluent German communication skills

2. It is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Please note that we regularly have new opportunities within the business which you can apply for at the end of your contract).

3. The location of this position is based from our headquarters in Basildon (Essex), however there will be an option to work from home.

Position Overview:

  • To perform all Administration and Telephony work in line with requirements for our German Clients, including but not limited to; Claims updating Client details, (Change of name/address/status), Maintaining ongoing requirements, (Amending mandates/processing rejections), and Client correspondence across multiple scenarios
  • To meet all Service Level agreements and any set Key Performance Indicators within the correct timeframes as agreed with our Clients
  • Communicate effectively and work in co-operation with others in order to maximize teamwork and achieve intended results
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable FCA regulations including but not limited to; iCOBS, Anti-money Laundering and GDPR

  • Be prepared to achieve & strive to exceed minimum standards in line with KPIs, SLAs & Key Results Areas, both in terms of quality and productivity 
  • Assist every area of the business to improve overall customer experience
  • To commit to personally putting the customer first and providing an excellent customer service at all times
  • Must actively seek & respond to feedback.  Use service failures both internally & externally as an educator to improve our process, procedures & overall service to the customer
  • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

The Ideal Candidate

Skills required for this role:

  • Fluent German and English communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and follow set processes
  • Enjoys a fast paced and changeable working week
  • Highly literate and numerate with good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organized and able to work on own initiative when required
  • Good keyboard skills to include basic Word, Excel and Outlook

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry, particularly with knowledge of  Pensions / Life Insurance 
  • Administration and/or data processing experience gained within a corporate environment
  • Industry qualifications such as IOC or equivalent, or working towards IOC or CII Pensions/Life Administration
