2016 Graduate Programme - Business Operations

Job Introduction

We are looking for ambitious & innovative graduates to join our Business Ops area as part of our 2016 Graduate  programme. 

International Financial Data Services (a joint venture between State Street & DST Systems) is recognised as the world’s leading provider of investor record keeping services and technology solutions; the Company is one of the fastest growing financial servicing organisations in the UK.

Since 2010 IFDS have ran an award-winning Structured Graduate programme to support ongoing business objectives & to develop future leaders for the organisation. Our programmes focus on developing both technical and management skills across a wide range of disciplines & areas.

Role Responsibility

Our Graduate programme is a 2 year programme where you will work in one of our business operation areas with the view to moving into a managerial position upon completion.

Our grad training programme which takes place over the 2 year period includes;

  • Business Training

We will provide full regulatory & industry training on the business & industry products.

  • Financial Services Training

Unique, industry specific training in various aspects of financial services – this will include a professional qualification

  • Product Suite Training

You will receive targeted training on our bespoke product suite

  • Soft Skills Training

Personal, leadership & management development topics 

We will offer you the opportunity to gain experience of working for Europe’s leading financial servicing organisation & the opportunity to work on a wide range of live projects and gain exposure to clients, new systems & processes.

You will be given the chance to prove you have the skills, capabilities and initiative to succeed in commercial business and encouraged to take on more responsibility and contribute ideas you may have to improve processes and efficiencies

With personal support from Senior Management detailing your contribution to key business projects and future potential you will have the opportunity to showcase your talents to allow IFDS to assess your leadership skills

You will be assigned a mentor who will provide you with first hand support to enable you to get the most out of the Programme

Through interacting with senior staff and experienced professionals you will gain an understanding of the Company business objectives and identify why IFDS is at the forefront of global administration & technology innovation within the Financial Services industry.

The Ideal Candidate

- A minimum 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in a Business / Finance / Economics related degree.

- A high level of computer literacy and knowledge

- Be able to communicate ideas effectively within a team and to senior management

- Desire to prove that you have leadership capabilities

- An interest in working within the financial services industry
